Home Sweet Cats

Home from Lost Maples State Natural Area. It was well worth the five hour drive but maybe not what will undoubtedly become known as the Unfortunate Chilli Mac Incident of 2014. I’ve changed my mind and decided that Imodium is what I am thankful for this year. On the bright side, our backpacking Thanksgiving meal was a big success. We went with four cheese mashed potatoes with country gravy and stuffing mixed with chicken and topped with dried cranberries. The best part was only having to clean up the gravy since everything else was made in freezer bags.

It tasted better than it looks. Promise.

When we weren’t busy stuffing ourselves, we were busy hiking. We made it just in time to still see the leaves changing colors. It was gorgeous. It is definitely a place we will be back to visit. As exciting as 500+ pictures of leaves is, I think I’ll pick out the best of the best before I share them on here.
